At around 30% HP, Matka will turn invulnerable to summon more Mosquitos that'll attack and explode when killed, dealing decent damage.With that said, ignoring them for the entirety of battle is doable. While it would make the boss fight slightly more manageable if you kill them off, the Mosquitos only have one easily dodgeable move. These Mosquitos are incredibly agile and can be tough to hit with either spells or your weapon attacks. In addition to these abilities, Matka will be accompanied by her Mosquito mobs throughout the fight. While hexed, Matka will cast a couple of Unholy magic to damage you specifically, her Unholy Pillars that sprout from multiple points on the ground and her Pestilence spell that launches a wave of unholy projectiles from her staff. This one move has a very high area of effect and is almost impossible to dodge unless you limit the use of your Travel Ability throughout the fight. But due to her much higher Unholy affinity, Matka can cast hexes that'll turn you into a pig for a short period. Her fight is very similar to Foulrot the Soultaker, from her spells to her summons. As a non-roaming boss, you can fight Matka here at any time-however, it is recommended to fight her at night due to her nest not having much sunlight cover.įrom the Cursed Forest Waygate, travel north on the road until you come across the Cave Passage.
